Feels like it’s time for a round-up of my latest offers, con and writing news!

I don’t often run discounts and deals these days, but I’ve been meaning to share a splendid offer on the go right now – KEPT FROM CAGES has been included as part of a StoryBundle this month, where you can get 14 wonderful books for a silly bulk discount!

storybundle book covers magic noir

This is the MAGIC NOIR Bundle, featuring a heap of mystery/thriller reads with magical twists, and you can get a selection/all for excellent bundle prices. I’ve read four of these books so far myself and would certainly recommend all of them.

The deal runs for another week or so at the time of writing, so there’s still time to dive in there while you can.

Also as a heads-up, considering these offers are rare treats these days: we’ll have Dyer Street Punk Witches on offer next month as part of the upcoming Narratess Indie Sale.

Cons for 2026

Conventions, that is. I’ve been tardy in mentioning my recent online panels, so if you missed it one event I was involved in was the fabulous Spotlight Indie Big Weekend. There are lots of talks free available to view online from a range of great authors, and I took part in a panel on Women in War and Politics.

Next up for me is EasterCon, which I’ll be attending in Birmingham next weekend – Friday to Sunday – though I’m not on any talks or panels there. I will have a few books on hand if anyone attending wants to pick up a signed copy – though if you want anything specific let me know in advance to avoid disappointment!

Otherwise, I’m not sure yet what else I’ll make it to this year. I’m remaining hopefully I might manage BristolCon, but I’ll only just be back from Japan that week (finally revisiting a holiday that was cancelled by lockdown 5 years ago) so it seems unlikely…

Book News

Lastly, some quick updates on my upcoming work for the year. I’ve got through my last edits of THE WORST SURVIVE, and it’s with the beta readers now, so unless they uncover some fundamental issues with it that should be creeping towards release in the next few months.

I’m meanwhile about a quarter of the way through writing the fourth Blood Scouts book, which promises to be a chunk more epic than the previous two. Once I have a few other projects out of the way it should pick up speed, so I’m still aiming for an autumn release for that.

I have another contemporary fantasy/horror project in mind (maybe Ordshaw adjacent, maybe not…) but in all likelihood it’ll be a while before I find time to properly dedicate to that.

That’s all for now!
