Dyer Street Punk Trading Cards
With Dyer Street Punk Witches on the cusp of release, it’s time to publicly reveal this promotion scheme I’ve been feverishly putting together: the book will ship with a set of collectible character trading cards.
I had so much detail going into writing the book, with lengthy backgrounds for all the characters, that I had this urge to create mini profiles, complete with images (as close enough as I could get). The result: I made 14 unique character cards, representing all the major players in the book.
You can see the Kit card here for a preview, but each one has its own specific entries, reflecting the characters’ different personalities. They’re packed with trivia to give a little more depth or insight, with maybe an Easter egg or two and all. Learn about your favourite characters’ education history, favourite pastime, business ventures or nicknames as a kid!
Here’s a cheeky glance at the full collection:
Who’s On the Cards?

Where Can You Find the Dyer Street Character Cards?
These cards were primarily intended as digital releases, but there are now physical editions circulating, too. Sadly, nothing in life comes easy, so I’m not just going to post them up here. They digital editions be spread across the internet, in the hands of benevolent bloggers, shared with reviews and features relating to the book. The physical cards will be available through competitions or given individually with signed copies (see below).
It’s up to you, dear reader, to hunt down all 14.
(Though I may compile links, as I’ll certainly be sharing related reviews.)
Want to get involved as a reviewer? If you’d like to post a Dyer Street Punk Witches on your website, let me know – I’d be happy to send an ARC and share a card to go with the review.
The book, featuring punk witches, gang warfare and a whole lot of trouble, is out on September 12th, 2022.
Printed Character Cards
As of now, there are 5 packs of Dyer Street character cards out in the world. I intend to give all these away through a series of competitions and promotions, fingers crossed with more to follow.
To kick off, a launch contest: I wanted to give back to those eager readers who pre-ordered the book, and ran the following competition.
There were plenty of pre-orders, but the first pack was not claimed! So watch this space for the next contest…
Dyer Street Punk Witches is available in eBook and paperback now, just click here.
This is the first chance to get a complete pack of cards. For more opportunities, I’ll run separate contests later, and be giving away individual cards with signed copies of the book (soon to be available from my shop, or if you run into me in person). Good luck!
About Dyer Street Punk Witches
Kit hung up her brass knuckles, but the shadows of her past always lingered. Now they’re back to claim her.
Kit “Fadulous” Hamley, magazine editor, activist and former punk rocker, is a well-known loudmouth in St Alphege’s. She works tirelessly to hold local authorities to account. Some say she’s making up for her criminal youth. Others spread rumours of witchcraft. Very few people know how dark her secrets really are.
When an old friend warns Kit that a former rival has resurfaced, those secrets start to resurface. People have gone missing, with body parts and strange symbols left behind, and someone is stalking Kit. The gang she abandoned are scared stiff and her magic-wielding bandmates are long gone. Kit herself is a target, and if she can’t unravel exactly how this new feud connects with her past mistakes, it could kill her.
Decades older, a little wiser, and contrary as ever, Kit’s going to remind them all what a punk witch can do.
Get ready for a riotous ride into the seedy underbelly of St Alphege’s, where gang warfare and occult conspiracies tear ordinary lives apart. Dyer Street Punk Witches is a standalone urban fantasy thriller packed with tough, subversive characters and tense twists – you won’t be able to put it down.
