Like the new look? This is an early preview of the updated cover for Wixon’s Day – the first step in a slew of new book covers I’ve got in the wings. I’m excited to say they’re all looking great – the Estalia series has a very professional new look and we’ve got some superb original artwork for A Most Apocalyptic Christmas on the way.

What’s new in Estalia…

wixons day previewAn updated version of Wixon’s Day will with us in the not-too-distant future (aiming for a May release, at the latest), in advance of a novella that loosely continues the series (also due for a May release!) – pathing the way for the long-awaited sequel later this year. The fantastic author and cover designer Jessica Bell has been working on covers for these – I’m chuffed with her interpretations of the work. And it looks like we’ve inadvertently stumbled on a few extra book covers along the way – I just need to write the stories! Along with the new cover, Wixon’s Day will be made available from additional retailers with improved typesetting for a more polished book all round.

The novella, Balfair’s Confinement, will be available in eBook form – free to newsletter subscribers.

A Most Apocalyptic Christmas, meanwhile, is getting a facelift from my excellent regular artist Bob Wright. The original book had a bit of a rush to get it out in time for Christmas last year (though the cover was still a great image), but now we’re giving it the attention it deserves and taking the style up a few notches. There are exciting things on the horizon, embracing the pulpy action madness of the story – something that’s worlds apart from the Estalia series! This comes in anticipation of the first full-length novel in the series, which I’m working on now.
